Nigar Johar becomes Pakistan’s first woman Lieutenant General

Major General Nigar Johar, HI (M) has been promoted as Lieutenant General, the Pakistani Inter Services Public Relations office said on Tuesday.

She is the first female officer to be promoted as Lieutenant General, it added, along with being the first female Surgeon General of Pakistan Army.

Lieutenant General Nigar Johar hails from Panjpeer, District Swabi KPK, and is currently serving as Commandant Military Hospital Rawalpindi.
