Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz leader Maryam Aurangzeb said on Tuesday that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) led government has been the most corrupt imposed on the country.
Talking to the media, she said that PTI leader Asad Umar had said we will make them scream and they have proved themselves right. “Their performance in two years is before everyone, we should be thankful that Imran Khan did not ask the nation for a two-minute long silence on the anniversary of their two-year rule,” she said while adding that government reports themselves say that inflation has risen substantially.
“Eight million people have been pushed below the poverty line. More than 3.5 million have become unemployed. Sugar has risen from Rs. 55 per kilogram to Rs. 100 per kilogram. Wheat prices have risen too,” she said.
She alleged that whoever speaks up against the government has NAB imposed on them. “We will present the tale of their two-year-long corruption in front of the people tomorrow” she revealed.
In answer to a question Maryam Aurangzeb said that the government cannot use the coronavirus pandemic as a crutch. “They cannot blame their failures on coronavirus,” she said.
