Iqbal Qasim resigns as chairman of PCB cricket committee


According to sources, Qasim was not happy after his recommendation to restore departmental cricket was rejected. He also tried to approach board chairman Ehsan Mani but there was no progress on this matter.

The 67-year-old is the third individual who has resigned from this position. Former coach Mohsin Hasan Khan and PCB’s Chief Executive Wasim Khan were the other two to step down from this position.

It must be noted that the committee which was headed by includes former captain Wasim Akram, women’s cricket team chief selector Urooj Mumtaz, former test cricket Umar Gul and former batsman Ali Naqvi.
